Ok i'm proably a dumb a$% , but I got the R77's used . They were put together already (no instructions ) threw them on , and zero issues . Fast forward to new GIVI V35 purchase . Pick them up , and cant get them on due to can/bag touching . Make Ovals in yosh hangers to drop 1/4" ok were good . ( NOT ) so when riding while it was in the 40's / 50's no burn , in the 60's / 70's it left marks on the bags . So here come the fiberglass reflective race car stick on stuff . ( looked like crap ) ride 1200 miles in the 70's OK Sunday ride 30 miles in 90's temps , and burned bags Worked a trade out with a member here on the forum for his Staintunes since longer
, and have a little offset to the end of the cans . Get to taking my R77's off , and clean them up pretty . Notice the rubber is torn on strap so call Yosh order 2 new rubbers , and hangers with round holes ( so my hangers oval holes that look bad dont go to another member ) Also notice a couple of DENTS in one can I guess from road debris OK moving on I go to install stock exhaust for next weeks 2000 mile trip , and so gaskets for the cans no one in Houston has them @ 21 bucks each . Frik ! R77's back on but notice the mid pipe twisted .
So were on a theory of change here . Push mid pipe back .5" ( thumb in picture with glove ) rotate mid pipes , and add a 1.25" hanger bracket . Problem solved . Will have brackets made nicer in Titanium from a good friend but for now it will work in steel . FYI I also moded the SW motech rack / mounts to gain clearance 1st before this .
Motec mount ground down !!!!!!!!!!!!!
