Has anyone compared a FI unit to a Flashed ECU?

i really don't understand you people's obsession with 87 octane. what's wrong with tuning for 91 or 93 octane? take advantage of the higher octane with a bit more timing.

My bike was tuned with the Bazzaz for 93, just thought I would see how a couple tanks of 87 felt. Didn't notice any different...going back to the 93

timing is only retarded at low rpm low throttle angle in the lower gears

I thought it would show more power lower ... what would the benefit be for this mod?

Well, just got back from HPC today. I put the Bazzaz back on and wanted to see if the power loss came back. Well it did... Greg did have to tweak it some (different air filter) but it was a great day. My bike made 184.22 hp and 107.46 tq SAE (even with 10k miles on it). Greg did a comparison against a 08 Zx14 with almost all the same mods... Busa wins Pictures and more info coming soon. Thank you Greg and Terra....
