Has anybody used there calipers?

I know that Nissin Calipers were used on the CBR1000 Blackbird and werent very good along with the linked brake system on that bike. Look for Mono block calipers (one piece not slipt in two)

swap out your lines, fluid and master cylinder with Brembo parts and them some better pads and THEN we'll talk calipers.

I have lines and ebc pads(and needless to say, fresh fluid and a good bleedjob). I had assumed that the next weakest link was the calipers, but you're saying a master clyinder will make a bigger diference than calipers? That's good to know.

Is that AP racing caliper a direct replacement for the stock caliper, or is there a mounting plate required?

swap your forks, rotors, and wheel for radial mount gsxr units, swap in brembo m/c and calipers, braided stainless lines, DOT 5 fluid (swap in Brembo rotors once you warp your gsxr units)and use Vesrah SRJL17 brake pads.

That will take care of ANY street ridden motorcycle and then some.
