Guys check your valvestems !!

[too many toys]

Coming home from work last week I had the valvestem in my rear tire blow out causing near instant deflation of my rear tire while I was doing about 65mph. Needless to say that was a rump puckering moment. The bike started to slide around like I was on oil. Thankfully I got it to the shoulder without further incident but it could have been a lot worse. A new rear tire and a pair of screw in stems and I am back on the road again.
Please check your valvestems !! Having such a small part fail could have dire consequences

Glad you're alright, and this is a good reminder. I like the idea of replacing rubber valve stems at each tire change.
