GenI to GenII TRE

Hi Busa Peeps, can anyone tell me if a GenI TRE will work on a GenII or is the system completely different? I just got a '12 LE and I have a TRE from my '07. Do I toss it or can I use it?

I've heard flashing the ecu the best way to go.

I don't think it will work. Besides, it's much easier to have the computer flashed and have it really changed to more accurately do what you want done.
The TRE just fools the computer into thinking it's in 5th gear and uses that map. Flashing it has the computer doing what you want it to in each gear.

IMHO I think the end result would be no gains and your gear indicator indicating 5 in every gear.

I had the xtre on my 08 and gear indicator worked fine every gear showed proper number. Took it off and got the woolich log box pro from boostbysmith.com and hell of a difference
