As with all suzuki's from the mid 00's there is a transponder style key involved as part of the immobiliser system. Key looks identical to the Gen 2 item except the emblem is gold.

All the uk bikes have had the transponders for awhile so i don't think the US gen 3 will have it since none of the others do.

what do yall think about the CNC anodized key holder, cool-looking? They can be bought both the holder and key ring for $10 shipped from China. Seems like everything comes from there now. Makes me think of all the American jobs lost.

That is beautiful! As long as enough key is exposed where it naturally fits the ignition without having to force it down.
