gen2 tank can be installed in gen1?

hi all,
firsr of all I live in south korea so not good at English, please understand

I got 2000 busa which engine fully overhauled
but has fuel system problems
so I gonna swap 2015 busa fuel tank and internal pump into my 00 busa.

here are my questions
1. do i need to change seat because i heard
the exterior shape of both tank little bit different

2. I will use 2015's tank and fuel hose ,
connect 2015's tank to 00's injector line
directly
of course i will delete 00's regulator and
pump
like picture below

2015 tank has internal regulator
so I think this way can be possible

I know it's much easier to find 00~07' tank
but so hard to find in my country

I put a Gen2 tank on a Gen1. The Gen1 seat fits fine, but it has a replacement vinyl cover. I do not think that matters. Your plan for replacing the Gen1 regulator and pump looks like it should work fine. The Gen2 pump should produce about 43 psi (296 kpa).
