i know it can be done.

need a list of whats needed other than the guage cluster itself.

is the connection the same or do you need a new harness

thanks

Nothing else is needed you just need a pinout of the gauges. It can be done. I started doing the pinout myself to possibly do it someday soon. The pins are different and do different things. Some things may not work obviously such as the modes. I have not solved how the gear indicator could be wired...

Just the gauge can not be swapped out, to a Gen2, it will not work, it is multiplex electronics, on the gen2!

Someone put a gen2 cluster on a Gen1 here on the Org. Someone said there is a thread around of him doing it....

Here are the pinouts. They are identical but as people have said, the Gen2 ecu sends different signals so who knows how it would work on a Gen1. Gen1 has 15 pins where the Gen2 has only 13

Top is Gen1 and bottom is Gen2. (The Gen2 pin numbers are not accurate)
