Gen2 Camshaft

I was thinking about changing over to a gen2 intake cam on my gen1 because it's maximum lift is 9.0mm and the gen1 has a 8.8mm maximum lift. My question is would it be worth the change or am I not going to gain much??? I was thinking this would give it a little more torque

It will shift the power band higher. The increased lift equates to lower flow velocity at low RPM's which will cause a reduction in torque down low. This will also result in more air volume at higher RPM's for an increase in top end horsepower. I wouldn't waste my time esp. over .2mm of lift. Look into the intake/exhaust cam swap or a set of aftermarket cams.
