Here are the pics of my install. Two show the box I used, The bottom is concave so I figured that would help clearance slightly.
The nitrous bottle shown is a 20 oz, but I made it deep enough to put a 2.5lb bottle.
My bike is lowerd 1" and I still have 3" of clearance with me on it. I highly doubt it will ever hit. Plus i'm raising it back up so that will give me another inch of clearance..

OK HERES THE 1ST VOTE FOR A 'STICKY' AS THIS ONE IS GONNA RUN AND STAY AROUND FOR AWHILE.

I'm thinking MP5 with 500rnds of ammo. Gallon jug of water. Blow up doll.
500oz can of pepper spray. 5 Arbys regulars and a whole lotta of Horsey sauce....

One word of advice the box I listed is kind of thin. IF the tire ever came in contact with it I think it would rub through it real fast. It probably will never be an issue but it's worth mentioning..
I'm probably going to make mine out of Aluminum now that i'm happy with the way the plastic one came out and i'll use it as a template.

Cool thanks for the info. I got the other one from Walmart but like the idea of the concave design. I am gonna try and remove all the stuff today and get an idea of how much room I want/need under there.

Did you use rivets to secure the tub to the rear plastic of the bike? Also, some have done this without removing the under body, did you leave it on the bike or remove it to cut the hole for the tub?

yes with rivets

its not very hard to remove the rear plastic, and pull the underbody out.Much easier to work on with it out of the bike.
I used a trash can to do mine, also from walmart. It seemed like it had thicker plastic.I also didnt cut away the rear of the tub so I dont have to worry about stuff falling out the rear.
The bottom of the can is the same size as the file boxes that were used.

I wish I could do this mod. But knowing me, I would just mess it up :banghead: !! Maybe if there was step by step intructions or a video only would I attempt to do this. I'm just not crafty like that :banghead:!!
