I've had a few questions on this and then I realized that you can barely see the rear wall of the box I cut out. Here it is from another angle. You need a shape similiar to this so it fits into the stock trunk location there also. Sealing things up so your stuff doesn't fall out. I'm sorry I didn't have this posted originally, It was around 3am and my brain was cooked.

Great Mod, Will the bottom of the modded trunk hit the tire during aggressive launches?

GREAT JOB!! There are a lot of people that have stretched bikes in their sigs that I don't think this would work on, but I guess it doesn't hurt to try. I am wishing I wasn't stretched now but I won't go back.

I reassembled it and it's now 7" to the seat latch to the bottom and 12' long into the tail.
And no, that's not a 20oz drink, that's a 2 liter!

I just wanna say  to the Diet A&W man!

I am a diabetic and love/have to drink diet drinks. :beerchug:

WENT TO WAL-MART PICKED UP THE NEW "TRUNK". I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FABRICATION PROCESS. I LEFT THE OLD TRUNK IN PLACE ON THE BIKE AND I AM WORKING WITH EVERYTHING ATTACHED TO THE BIKE. I DO NOT HAVE A RIVET GUN BUT FIGURED I COULD JUST USE SOME THICK ZIP-TIES. WILL POST PICS WHEN IT'S COMPLETE. THANKS FOR THE IDEA, I CAN'T WAIT TO PULL OUT A 2 LITER IN FRONT OF MY OTHER FELLOW BUSA RIDERS..

Instead of zip ties you can also use the plastic license tag bolts and nuts, they are like 4 for about 3 bucks. However I would proabably put some loctite of sorts on them.

I am gonna have to look into this right here.

Mine won't, and has plenty of clearance. Although it's depth is going to depend on your weight/suspension.

I don't see why it wouldn't, mine has plenty of room and isn't visible unless you look underneath the tail. All up to the individual.

That's a great mod, may have to put that one into action myself.

Nice job...
My local Wally world didn't have anything like that. What section did you find that size box in? It looks like a hanging file box.

It is a file box, (sterllite brand) for standard 8 1/2 x 11" paper. It's 9 x 12" base tapers outward slightly all the way to the top. It looks like a small trashcan, which would probably work too.

i just wanted to let you know I stole your idea before you patent it. It WORKS GREAT. I have an air shifter on my bike and the CO2 bottle is in the trunk, before the mod I could only fit one bottle and my tool kit in there. Now I have a spare bottle, tool kit, fleece jacket, and my pistol all in there together. Will have to post pics to show everyone how us Gen II owners do it. (minus the pistol).

I found something that I think will work. They didn't have that brand but they did have a file box about that size..
I'm gonna make a template of it and might make it out of Aluminum when I get it finished since I have all the tools to do so.

Thanks again for the great idea..
