Just swapped out my standard external Gen1 fuel pump for this set up. Drilled and tapped bypass port into the standard Injector rail and set bypass to 45psi , fitted gravity fed inline filter pre pump, works amazing , Pump and reg came to Aud$280
Owned the 1999 Busa since 2001 , first time I have had to replace it!

G’day and Welcome along mate!
Please post some pics of your bike and tell us a bit about your bike history etc.
I’ve got a ‘99 and I’ve overhauled the fuel pump twice in the 11 years 80,000kms I’ve owned it.
I’ve never considered replacing the external pump unit as parts are still available for it.
I’ve replaced the filter twice and replaced the pump motor once.
If they’re looked after they go the distance, but it’s crucial to keep the external housing wrapped with the insulation foam they come with… it prevents cavitation caused by heat transference from being so close in proximity to the crankcase.
Fuel cavitation is difficult to diagnose when it causes running issues and loss of power etc, the symptoms can often be mistaken for other possible causes.
Show us your ride mate… we love pics here at the oRg!
