Gen 1, Air Box Question

When I first got my Busa I checked the air filter to see if it was any good. When I opened up the airbox, the housing for the air filter was there but there was no material for it. So I replaced that with the K&N Filter. I also noticed that the flap in the airbox is missing what is that really used for?

Heres an answer to a lot of peoples questions about how to do the small air box mod!

You need the follow the instructions in the manual, on how to remove the air box!

Here's the air box with the filter removed!

That unlocked some long forgotten memories&good times when I got my 1st Busa 26yrs ago,the small box mod,then Motorheads big-box mod,Yosh drop in cams,exhaust cam on the intake,PowerCommander 2 and TRE etc...the OG days of modding Busa's!
