Gas stops, stories, and bench racing...

Okay we all have to stop for gas, a snickers bar, and some of you have to have those energy drinks. Usually there's another biker or two there so you all end up talking for awhile. Motorcycles always seem to stir up conversation or nostalgia and we get approached. What funny stories or weird encounters have you experienced during these moments?

I ran across an ancient guy when I was deployed overseas who had a Matchless bike he bought new, the odometer went around a few times, he figures he had over 500k miles on it or so....this was 30+ yrs ago now...

I used to take my older son to work on my bike (1200 Bandit) sometimes years ago (he worked in an old age home) and an old guy used to sit out front to wait for us. He used to ride dispatch during WW2 and loved bikes, we'd talk for hours. He had great stories.
