Gathering info...just read the front tire removal from the search feature. My questions are these: Using a front Pit Bull type of stand...will it work or do you need a floor jack? The second question...what is involved with getting the brake calipers onto the rotor again when replacing the wheel? On cars I've put a blade of some type between the calipers to recompress them for enough room to get them back over the rotors...is it the same on motorcyle front wheel? tx, 2hip

yes pittbull stand will work, yes spread the pads a little. Unbolt the fender, you can move it up enough without removing it.

Or put some 2 X 4's under the stand to get the height you need. I've always managed to get it in and out with my redlines. It is tight with a stand.

its not difficult
yea its tight but no problem really. i put a block or piece of plastic between the throtle and front brake that way even an idiot likeme can't bump into or sqeeze the front brake once the tire is removed.

Pit Bull stand (#6 pin), take the fender loose, tire/wheel will slide right out. My brake calipers have always slide back on the rotors with no problems.
One other thing.. put a towel across your fender so there's no chance the stand can scratch it while lifting the bike or letting it down.
Not really much to it at all..
