Front tire replacement

One more reason I trust no one to work on my bike. Even when I wasn't changing tires myself, I took the wheel to the tire shop and made sure they put the tire on the right way. Prior to taking the wheel off, I marked each rotor with the marker by putting a big letters "R" and "L" respectively, so it was easy to figure it out when the wheel was off. It's very little extra effort to get it done right, so why not.

That's a great idea:beerchug: and I think I will stamp an arrow on mine so I can verify it after the dealership has done the work.

Regardless of the tire position, don't forget that the brake discs have to go back to the side where they were originally. If you install the wheel the other way around, you effectively swapped your rotors, to which the brake pads already mated. In this case, your braking effectiveness will be degraded. That's why you have to put a mark on rotors prior to taking the wheel off the bike so you know which one is left and which one is right.

The tire should be mounted in the correct direction while the wheel is correctly oriented.

Another words, the wheel should go back on the bike so the rotors are in the same position, plus the tire rotates in the correct direction.

Sorry I missed this before, how true this is.
