Front suspension rebound damping setting

Resident Hayabusa newbie here. It's been 1 week and I'm about to hit 600 mi. I love the ride, and feel the suspension is dialed in perfect for me.

There's one thing I noticed which prompted me to research further, and I've yet to find a good answer. I checked fork rebound settings against the owner manual suggested 8 clicks out from hardest setting. Good thing is I discovered a uniform setting of 7 clicks both left and right, from the dealer or factory. No issue since I like the ride so far.

I noticed that even though settings are the same, the adjusters where you place the flat head driver "appear" to be in different orientation from one another. Even though I confirmed the settings, is this a common place outcome?

I've been wrenching for years but the last time I had an adjustable fork was in 2006.

If it really bothers you just loosen the triple clamps on one fork tube and rotate it to match. A lot of work for aesthetic harmony

As said above correctly, it’s only a matter of rotating the fork tube in the yokes to make them line up together the same… waste of effort in my opinion.

The clicks are the clicks,,, the orientation has nothing to to do with it.
But if you are that anal, Jack up the front end and make the flat head slots match, and make sure your dont upset the height of either side!

I have to thank you for pointing this out. Them not matching doesn't bother me, but definitely would take the couple of extra minutes to align them when I lower it.

Talking about suspension settings. I weigh 240lbs, do I need to set sag and other stuff? Rides real good as is, but if some adjustment will make it ride smoother, I'm for it.

had the same... saw the screws weren't aligned and had to check they were at the same number of clicks, they were. First bike that the screws haven't been perfectly aligned for the same setting.

Yes have to set sag and adjust rebound and compression settings based tire wear. If the ride is good now it will be even better after you adjust everything to your bodyweight.
