I have a problem with my front axle not wanting to come out. It acts seized in. It is a factory wheel that has been chromed and I think the seizure may be due to that but I'm not sure. Does anyone out there have any ideas on how to get this baby loose. It was torqued at 300+ ft lbs and still didn't break loose.

They are still tight . The forks are off the bike but of course the right one is still on the axle/wheel. It's seized tight! I tried an impact on it with no luck. This was suppose to be just a tire change and new fork seals but now it keeps getting worse.

What do you mean they are still tight? We are not talking about the fork pinch bolts, there are 2 pinch bolts on each side of the fork bottoms that clamp the front axle in and if you do not loosen these pinch bolts the axle will not come out period.

+1.. u need to loosen the left side(if your facing the front of the bike) pinch bolts. without doing this, you wont have a chance of getting that axle out..

Forks were taken off for new seals. Got new tires too so got to get the whels balanced. Can't get the axle out to get the front balanced. Only the right fork is still on the axle. The bolts on the right fork are loose. Tried everything known and no luck breaking it loose. Put the forks back in and trying to figure out what to do.

ok then you need to tighten the outer right hand pinch bolt on the fork bottom, that way it will hold the sleeve that the axle threads into.
once you do this then you should be able to loosen the axle. It is really tight if this is the first time removing it and it will take quite a bit of torque to get it broke loose.

Hope this helps.
