Frame covers and 240 kit

I'm thinking of going with a 240 kit with chrome swingarm. I know you have the notch the frame so my question is do you have to modify the frame cover as well? Pics for clicks...

No you dont have to modify the frame cover, Your grinding the inside of the frame.

I just picked some frame covers up myself from ballzmotorsports.com and wow these thing fit nice but feel cheesy. Mine are the paintable ones.

What do you mean feel cheesy?

Not looking to offend anyone who has them but I think they look and feel cheesy. It's chrome covered plastic, same concept as chrome hub caps. From a distance they look OK but .... to each his own. I've got a few buddies that have had them and ALL of them got rid of them quickly. If you want a shiny frame either paint, polish, or chrome is the only way to go.

They are crazy thin but fit great, BUT like others have said the chrome is ok, I went with paintable because mines bike is being painted
