Found an awesome site, hope it's not a repost

I'm not clicking it either. I see enough in person. After working the ambulance and now in a trauma center, I still ride!!

Stuff happens. It happens to people on bikes, in cars, and walking down the street. If I didn't do things becuase of the risk involved, life would be awful boring.

Life is to short!! Besides, pain is in you head, skin grows back, bones heal, and if its your time to go just don't regret you sat around and wasted it.

We all know the risks

I think a lot of that site is over the top

Road rash pics should be enough to put anyone in gear... dismembered bodies do not do a thing IMO, those gore shows failed in the 50's and 60's in drivers Ed, doubt they are going to work today either....

However seeing a live person recovering from what is essentially 3rd and 4th degree burns from grinding down the road? yuk... makes me keep my gear on.. I already did my 18 months as a burn patient, do not care to try it another way..

The guy who runs that site is full of sh!t if you ask me.
He used to be a rider but he had an accident and now because he's lost his cajones he tries to scare everyone else off motorcycles.

Enter his site into the way back machine and you get this.

On  may 11 2005 he was a rider

Then on Sept. 12  2005 he's found a soapbox and is preaching on the evils of riding.

Little girlie man scared hisself.

Wayne Rainey broke his back, then went on to run a 500gp team.

Live2ride ride2die guy is a f@cking hypocrite...
just my two cents.

cheers

The only thing that freaked me out was the pictures of the last crash.. I would believe that a lot of those accidents are from RIDER ERROR/SCREWING AROUND..

They use to show us pictures and stuff like this at safety briefs with the Marine Corps and for our Bike Club.. they make you think.. but mostly they make you think twice when you wanna look cool puttin' around in your t shirt and jeans.. "I'd rather sweat than Bleed"

I think there are good points of reason to the message that anyone buying a motorcycle should consider. Who it affects if you crash, the realities of a crash, etc. The stupidity of riding But this guy - is an extremist in my opinion. There are so many topics that you could build a web site around that has death and destruction all over it.

I don't know - maybe I'm in denial. But swimming, surfing, bicycling, driving a car, ATV, skateboard, downhill skiing, rollerblading - they can all have tragic consequences. I don't care for this kind of page. Too disturbing. ...course... I didn't care for the movie "Seven" for the same reasons. Yech!

We had similar pics and movies in junior high drivers ed. Be aware and act appropiately. But dont be afraid to live life.

Wow! It does wake you up, but also do not let it stop you from riding. I am recovering from a bad spill myself from 8 months ago. Broke my left knee really bad!! And I am still riding even if it is against some of my friend and families wishes. I enjoy it that much, and the reason for buying another bike!!!!

Here are some pics.
