Fitting seat hump with rack or grab rail in place

Any idea best way to cut seat hump if I want to use a rack or grab rail?

how have others done this?

The outer shell is not a bog deal to dremel out...the problem you might run into is the plastic underneath...

Gen 1 or 2 ?

Gen 1, only outer shell will need 2 spots dremeled.

Gen 2 will also need outer shell dremeled in 2 spots plus inner mounting base will need 2 rear mounting holes cut away and rear mounting points reconfigured to be done correctly and look good and not hacked.

put some tape on the hump where you will be dremeling to protect the paint and slowly take off material until you get desired fit. You will need to first sit the hump on the bike the best you can and mark where the attached bar is so you know where to cut.

GEN 1 is easier than GEN 2

Gen 2 Busas are pretty simple, just go slow with a small grinding wheel (Dremell)
