I'm waiting for the rotors to show up so I have some time before I will want it back together, but I did the initial bleed and was able to get them to build pressure fairly easy using the traditional method and using a hand pump vacuum bleeder. I saw some people suggest to tie the lever pulled so I have it sitting that way for now. Will bleed them again later and probably again tomorrow and see what I get.

I thought about getting a syringe and filling the caliper that way before I put them together, but decided against it due to not knowing where exactly to find one that would work. If I can't get them bled I will probably just bench bleed them like @Dnyce suggested.

You can use the pump function on the vacuum to fill the calipers if you want, but I've never had to do that after caliper rebuilds, they will bleed just fine.
I've left the brakes applied(ziptie and weight) overnight on many bikes over many years too, and Always get a little more air out.

Okay good deal, I might just be putting too much thought into it then.

I have some reverse pliers also, they were waay too seized in there for those to work. I can tell there was uneven wear on the pads so I'm not sure all pistons were even moving. I want to get some stainless lines, but I am totally tapped on money for now. I have stainless on the rear but not the front. Already put HH pads on because the brakes barely worked when I got the bike. The pads were packed with grease.
A couple of the pistons were REALLY stuck, so I'm curious if those would have been able to get enough bite to pull them. I have never seen those before.
As you know buy now, we suck at helping people save money when it comes to aftermarket parts, so here is my contribution at pushing you over the edge to get the braided lines……………….. rubber lines need to be replaced every 4 years per the manufacturer. Do you know the age of those rubber bands on your freshly rebuilt fire breathing busa? :poke:

Haha, I appreciate the push but unfortunately if it comes down to needing to replace the lines to ride the bike I would just have to let it sit and wait til I recover some funds. I'm totally tapped out for a few weeks

That's the joys of owning a bike that loves to eat money in modifications...

Luckily it is also fairly simple to work on....unlike many other bikes...

I know the feeling. Growing up and having responsibilities and priorities suck sometimes. Lol

And I can never stop tinkering with stuff so it just never ends! But at least I'm learning a lot along the way and don't have to pay labor also.

I've been trying to save for a house so I can stop renting but with the current market, I'll buy a hayabusa instead...

Yep, I'm thinking of selling my 700 Raptor, as where I moved to a few months ago is great...but I have nowhere to ride it now without taking it somewhere.
I could buy a used bike and have some cash.
It's paid for, and not eating anything...but still a tough decision, lol

I've been contemplating selling my Cadillac for quite a while and may finally put it on the market. I love that car but it is just so damn expensive to drive and maintain. I average 8MPG so I find it hard to drive currently with fuel prices. It is a ton of fun though and turns heads everywhere you go, but I think I need the cash more than the car. It really needs another $5-7k to be perfect. Need to swap in a ford 8.8 rear end and a massive shot of nitrous. The engine is built to handle 1100HP but NA only makes about 600.

I went through all that, selling off bikes was tough but I was tired of seeing them sit all the time..

I was surprised at how fast they sold....as soon as I put a few of them on the market people were tripping over themselves to get them...makes me think I underpriced them.

I know the feeling. I have considered selling the concours14 and also thought about selling the concours and busa and getting a gen3, but we become attached to these things and is hard to let go. If I had loads of money I would probably never sell anything. I would still have my little 1996 civic EX coupe, ‘92 4runner v6 manual and my ‘13 mustang GT manual. Those are the 3 I regret selling the most.

Im sure you would find a gear head that would love to take that thing off your hands, but might have to go through the aggravation of dealing with a lot of clowns low balling you before finding the right person.

I'll trade you a Raptor for a Concours!
I need a better 2up bike, lol

 i have no use for a raptor and I’m tight already on garage space since I hate Keeping my cars out in the elements. Tacoma, busa, concours and DR650 in the garage plus all my other junk and currently trying to organize it enough to be able to park the fiancé’s car inside too. I haven’t even bought a riding mower due to the space it would take in the garage, so still have a company cutting the lawn.

That's the main issue, I hate dealing with the low ballers and the people that just want to come try to test drive it and ask a million questions with no intent of buying. Maybe one day someone will just come put a pile of cash in my lap and take it away, lol.

New rotors on the front, and I have the parts to remove the stretch minus the brace for the rear caliper but it will be here tomorrow. Once the stretch is removed I need a new set of tires and it will be to the point I will probably leave the rest alone until the riding season is over.

Was about to go start removing the stretch and realized I think I forgot a part. I will need to source some stock chain tensioning blocks I believe. Or can I use the ones that come with the stretch kit? I'm assuming I can't since they are quite a bit larger.

Also in the diagram from the link below, what is #5? Not sure if I need to order one of those also?
