Fast idle cable routing?

Question for those with bar risers...whats the best way to re-route the fast idle cable?

I have mine running behind the bars and under the front of the tank.

That's the best I could do without a longer cable. Seems to work fine though.

1) do you have to do that with only the 3/4" Genmar in place?

2) what end did you unhook in order to re-route the cable? The bar end or throttle body end?

That's the way I did it as well. Disconnect from the throttle-body end.

Does anybody know where you can get a longer cable? I don't like it running under the tank.

Guys, I did the 3/4" Genmar last night and left the fast idle cable in its stock location. ZERO problems whatsoever regardless of bar position. Probably couldn't get away with this on the taller variant, however.

But I'm happy!

I did the 1 1/4 Genmar riser and just removed the black lever part of the fast idle. Since the bike is fuel injected I haven't really found a need for the fast idle. A quick blip on the throttle when I start it up and my Busa idles just fine after that.
