Hi Folks

I have a 02 Busa stock gearing 17/40 i want to change my chain and sprockets i would like to know what is better 16/43 or 17/45 and i'd like to know is the extensions for the Busa safe cuz i like goin to the dragstip here and there.

Extensions are perfectly safe.

Someone else is going to have to help you with the sprockets

What's your altitude?
How much you weigh?
Any other mods to the bike?

I'll give you an idea what I run. Since I was 290lbs. suited, my bike is basically stone stock and I live at 5300' altitude, I went to a 46 rear sprocket and left the front sprocket stock. A 16/43 would be about the same. I wanted good 1/4 mile times and I cross the traps at about 10k rpms or so.

Now when I have my light rider(175lbs suited) run it, he is goes through the traps with the shift light on which is set for 10.2k. Just perfect for his weight and style of racing.
