the hard thing with us here in western australia is our indicators, to be lawful, have to be 30cm apart and clearly visible

used the dremel on mine with good results. I used electrical tape to mark the lines I wanted to cut and this helped to keep both sides of the fender cuts the same. after the cuts were made I smoothed the burs with a scotch bright pad. don't get in a hurry and you'll be fine.

That's an odd undertail. Is it just the image compression or does it really look that jagged?

I took my inner fender off.
After cutting and sanding you can take a heat gun and 'smooth' out any roughness.

I made my own bracket for my shorten factory turn signals.

Best picture was taken before a winter ride. +1 for Gerbings heated gear.

To shorten the stems.

I took them apart and kept the 'screw' end on. Cut about an inch of rubber off then shaped the rest with a dremal and knife to the same shape as what came out of the turn signal.

I rode this morning to work this morning so my bike was outside (frost on the ground). I snapped these pics of the bracket I made and of one signal.

On my old bike I got really desperate at 3 in the am and used gardening shears....HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

but my problem only got worse when I tried using a dremel sanding bit. Instead of sanding the plastic it started to overheat and melt it. needless to say....im scarred to try the free cutting again on my new Busa.
