Have any of you guys tried to fit a gsxr 1000 shock on your Busa? I ask because a used 1000 ohlins rear shock runs 400 while a new ohlins Busa shock runs a grand. I haven't found a used Ohlins Busa shock either. So basically, I'm trying to cut corners here so I can afford to rebuild my forks.

A buddy of mine has a stock busa shock on his 2001 gsxr 1000 with a 8" over arm cause the busa shock is stiffer. From those pics, it looks like you just take the top mount off of the GSXR shock and it will bolt in as long as the lengths are similar. You might have to add washers as spacers to the mounts. I haven't done this, it's just my 2 cents.

YES THEY INTERCHANGE ,HOWEVER THE BUSA SHOCK IS MUCH STIFFER THAN THE 1000 SHOCK BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE SO IF YOU ARE BUYING A SHOCK SET UP FOR A 1000 THEN YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET A HIGHER WEIGHTED SPRING .HOPE THIS HELPS
