I posted up on my local Toronto riders website about Haya in the Hills 2011 pumping it up and trying to create a desire to have a strong Canadian contingent come down.

2 reply's......one from the guy who bought my 08. It's like the busa riders up here all hide under a rock or only come out at night or something. Are they afraid of riding for 5 hours south and then riding all day?

Hey guys, if I can do it on a fully loaded for camping busa, you can do it, trust me...

We tried to have a busa ride last year and 3 people showed. But when the ZX14 folks have a get together, they come in numbers....well, more than three.

Also when I posted last year on my local forum all the haters came out,oh so many haters. They HATE the busa, can't wait to flame and dump and insult.

Well, what the heck, I thought I would give it a try this year but the Shnizzle fizzled.

So it will be me and maybe 1 or 2 others, maybe, who said they may come along, but I have no expectations.

Oh well.......

I personally, am done with group rides with ppl i dont know. it either gets boring if someone leading is an HTA nazi, or way out of control where everyone ends up with either a ticket or a run for freedom. I have a bunch of people i ride with, and i know exactly what to expect, that works a lot better for me. but i am down for any events down south, just not a big fan of wasting time standing around and waiting for others to get their sh*t together.

cheers,

seems to me like the canadian riders would want to ride five hours south so they can get a taste of this warmer weather ??? . 62 degrees in northern indiana :cheerleader:

We dont want the Schnizzle to fizzle:rulez: You are the real deal Schniz, prolly better to find a riding partner. The group rides are a pita to me but is is nice to meet the other peeps. I hope some day we ride together again ... fresher, longer, and further. :cheerleader:

If you have followed any of my posts from the last 5 years on " that site" you saw how I steered very far away from group rides with pple I didn't know as well. But last year I took a leap of faith and was rewarded with meeting a bunch of great pple who rode sensibly.

It really was quite out of character for me to go on this group ride, but I couldn't resist meeting/ riding with a posse of all busa's.

The people on this site are NOT like the crowd on the 'other' site at all. I posted up over there because it saves me from contacting everyone separately.

So whatever, I am going of course, and ride my own ride as will everyone else, safely, with maturity and looking out for each other. You may want to give this event a try.....

I didn't forget about you TWT ,and yes, I will carry your stuff as well......if I have to.......LOL....

( Hey 5oh.....did you find another copper/silver bike...)

i didnt look for another bike, i repaired mine, and got all carbon fibre bodywork instead. had to replace quite a bunch of things, but it was a nice project, thing looks one of a kind now, and practically new :) with +5 rear sprocket it pulls like a train, no stopping it now. last year i did few 1300-1500km weekend rides, looking forward for this riding season!
