i can take decent pictures, but my composition could use some tuning up. i don't have an innate talent for it like a couple friends of mine.

I have the Nikon D40 and its pretty good. Only 6MP. I have been looking at the Nikon D3100 14 MP. They have it with lens for right at 600 Here is a link

the 200, the 80, and the 5000 are very different animals, each one has features that seem like they'd be helpful, but i don't have enough dslr experience to identify which features are the most valuable for me. i need to take some more pictures before i start shopping cameras i think

hey, just for you - i took a hdr photo of my back yard tonight Besides the HDR merge, I didn't touch the colors. It was a nice sunset.
