Hey everybody. I would first like to thank the forum for all the knowledge that it has given me, but I always like to double check

What I was up to was cleaning my chain and relubing it before I put it away for storage.

What I did was:
1. Use a rag soaked in WD-40, cleaned the chain with the rag and a brush.
2. Let it dry, then went for a quick rip to heat up the chain.
3. Sprayed the lube on the sprocket side of the chain while rotating the tire.
4. Let the lube set in to have wax settle in.

I used a product called "BEL RAY" chain lube. I did what the instructions said, but i was just checking if I missed anything. These pics are what my chain look like after the job. Did I do everything properly?? Is there another product I should use?? This is the product they use at the bike shop.

Do exactly what you did every time for the entire time you own a chain driven bike for the rest of your life and don't listen to any advice otherwise.

Nice!!!! Yay for me, I decided to do my own maintenance because last time my bike went to the shop they scratched it and they would buff it or replace the farring.

Looks good...

My stock chain was waxed and it threw gunk all over the place. I haven't had an issue since I scrubbed it off and started using regular lube.

If you decide to keep your reflectors, you might like my idea...

I went to the local bicycle dealer and bought clear reflectors from their junk bin for 2 bucks. They look great!

I haven't updated the pages on my site for quite awhile, but there's pics of the reflectors posted there...
