I don't know where you get that from considering the Unions dumped 25 million dollars into this recall election. What are they then if not the almighty dollar? The golden cow?
Wellll...since both sides brought in plenty of outsiders and money (one side brought in money, the other side brought in outside union organizers and agitators AND money), I'd say that those who would use the government's bankroll to line their personal pockets still lost. Spin it any way you want, but it was still a victory for conservatives and those that want a smaller, leaner, less over-reaching government.
Actually democracy worked: A decision was made, enough people complained, and a vote was taken. As compared to when the Dem legislators left the state to AVOID democracy....
Now, I wish they'd recall every state legislator who miserably failed their duty and ran like a little girl to hide outside the state instead of performing their elected and paid responsibility to show up to work last year....

Big union money from out of state "big unions"? The total campaign was less that 4 million while Walker's Koch brothers Pac pumped just under 30 million. From outside Wisconsin by the way. If you lived here and dealt with this on a daily/hourly basis you'd have to be completely insane to not see the crybaby attitude of the Democrats in this state.
This recall election cost the state of Wisconsin (this was an early number, it could be higher) over 9 million dollars that we don't have. Now the crybabies will cry when there is more cutting done to pay for it.
There was more than $4 million spend on Barrett's campaign. If you believe that, you're nuts. I've heard and watched more Barrett ads than Walker ads on tv and radio alone.
The whole recall election was a joke. Much like the Republicans trying to run against Obama. There wasn't a chance. Tom Barrett has run Milwaukee into the ground. There is no way he could've beat Walker. With or without the Koch brothers.
The citizens of this state are sick of what the Democrats have done or haven't done I should say. It was time for change. We voted in change, we were given change. Some didn't like it, and they fought it. The majority ruled. With or without money or any other excuses. The majority of the people in Wisconsin are done with excuses and gimme this, gimme that.
We can argue all we want, the proof is in the puddin'.
