Gen 2 is pretty obvious that it surpass the gen 1s in many areas like the braking system,
engine and etc.Many from what i heard and saw prefer the Gen 1 looks compared to the Gen 2s.I still prefer my gen 1 beast thats for sure.To each of its own

Surely a nobrainer!

If you can afford a gen2 go for it! All those problems with the gen1 should have been ironed out. Ergonomics are better, brakes are better, styling (i think) are better. Newer bike, probably less milage and basicaly newer. Your so lucky to be able to choose!

I fell in love with my 03 gen1 at first sight, but my god have i had to throw a lot of my wages at her just to keep her sweet!

Thanks for all the info. I decided to buy the 06 couldn't pass up the deal. 2006 with 6800 miles immaculate condition, yoshi exhaust, double bubble, heli bars.... to much to pass up.
