Thanks Tom for adding me in. I better put those new Givi hard bags to use as it will be quite a haul from where I'll be starting. I traced the route from Toronto to the site in NC and it calculated something like 900+ miles (close to 1500 kms) and 14 hours of riding. It will likely be a 2-stage ride to and from. Anyways, can't wait to meet you guys. Jun

What fun is a Busa Bash without the BulletTrain?! Besides, we NEED a good photographer and it couldn't hurt to have the fastest cop in the Southeast to "relate" to local law officers if necessary.

Come on BT. You'll be cool, everyone is doing it (he he). No really the more the merrier. This is going to be a blast. You don't want to be the one that missed it (that goes for everyone). Plus, I can;t speak for everyone else but surely those short on cash or last minute deciders will find a room to crash in seeing as there will be so many of us there. As of right now I am the only one in my room at Deal's Gap for instance.

It is going to be a blast, that is all I can say!

Also, Pure ego, TNJ etc, if you guys ride over/down on Friday you can meet up with me (possibly others too) on my way thru (maybe in Abingdon or Bristol). Always more fun to ride in a group.

ok, I just made my reservations at the "resort" to check in thursday night and check out sunday morning

I'm trying to get thursday off work so that I can come up and get a full day in on friday, however that might change as the time draws closer. Either way, I'll be there

I'll most likely be trailering up from Raleigh.

I think we will be making plans closer to the date as far as where to meet and at what time as it depends on when everyone will be arriving.

I think we will be meeting at Deal's Gap either way (or at least most of us will) and we will decide a time or times later and we will make a list of cell phone numbers. Note that we have been told that cell phones do not work directly at Deals Gap and for much of the surrounding areas (bring a phone card for land line use! or you have to ride to where there is a signal - we will have to see).

I will be arriving sometime friday morning or early afternoon depending on who rides with me and how early I get started. But I definately am taking Friday off. Can't wait!

Too bad that WWJD is bailing. You will regret it(smile).

Well, I guess you can mark me down as confirmed. We are staying at the “resortâ€￾ over the weekend. If anyone from NC wants to ride/convoy just let me know. I am one hour south of I-40 at Greensboro.

We are very excited about riding this year. I found a bike for my wife (Blue 2001 Katana 600) and this trip will start out riding season with a bang (hopefully not a crash). We went last October and it was truly an experience.

For those of you who don’t know where to stay, we stayed at the Tapco Inn and it was decent, although pricey at $100 a night. The rooms are either upstairs in the Lodge or in cabins on the side of a mountain. No phones (including cell phone signal), cable, tv, or radios are in the rooms, which is fine if you have your own entertainment. There is a nice bableing river running below the cabins, real peaceful like.

We look forward to finally meeting some of you all face to face. I just wish there were more coming. Well, pray for nice weather. Chris
