Dealership called front brake recall

Well just received my recall letter...... I guess the vin ranges don't matter

Im curious how long from time of submittal the $100 gift card is going to take to get. I know mail in rebates are months most of the time.

Called dealer told them of recall gave them info about front break master cylinder
they ordered parts 15 minutes ago .

Then I got a text from the previous owner with a pic of said letter, lol.

Still unsure what I'm going to do, even though I never touched front brakes I have a feeling they'll see the bike and say voided.

lmao its over a year old anyhow. Recalls are recalls. Call and setup appointment get it done. Get your $100

So true, recall is a recall. Not warranty. Honestly I'll probably swap it out myself and not have to deal with any dealership unless they'll provide the part. (which I know is unlikely)

@Vanishing Point posted dealer pictures of just the master cylinder.
Adding the lever would really up Suzuki's costs too.

They are not allowed to give recall replacement parts to customers to replace themselves.
It's a liability.

they are giving a $100 gift card to get your part swapped. that is upping the cost too.

You have to have repair done before August 31 2023. Or no gift card. Also you have to scan repair paper work and email it to them. with your adress and info.takes 30 days to process.

The entire master cylinder assembly is being replaced. I spoke to my local dealer who did my 2006 gsxr1000 recall back in the day for the frame. That recall was for the frame snapping lol.

Snapping welds on frame vs no breaks. *sigh* as long as I don't die, I guess I'm happy. Now I gotta hope they don't hotdog my bike. I'm taking pictures of my odometer on drop off. I hate dealers touching my #@#$.
