Considering trading in for a \'busa, need opinions

I currently own a 1999 Ducati 996 and am considering trading it in on a Hayabusa. I need honest opinions. Has anybody owned the two. How to they compare. I know that they have different purposes, I will be using them for pleasure riding only. I want a bike that is enjoyable to ride and is not in the shop every week. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have a buddy with a 996 sp and he had a list of excuses for his duck after a day of riding.It is however the fastest twin Ive seen yet.
