Unlike my beloved Wakes where coal is very deep and under the ocean NZ coal is on top of the Dennison plateau 500 meters high

Here's a bit of our mining history you may not know about Johnnie . . .

We had a coal mine on the West Coast not far from Denniston, it exploded killing all but two of the miners back in Nov 2010, their remains are still in that mine.
The Govt ordered the mine sealed off, too dangerous to go in and recover the bodies they said.
It was terribly hard for the families involved, the Govt are finally saying they will open the mine and recover any remains left.
Too little, too late. Typical of heartless Govt ministers, sickening how they just don't care about the hard working citizens that create the wealth of the country.

It not just ministers. I promise its the same world wide. Once they get money and power everything goes to their heads. Gone is the little thing called humanity. Its a sad state. Whats really amazing is take away all their money and power and they still do not change back. Corrupted to the core.
