check out my pipes!!!!

will you gain any horsepower from just cutting off the stock mufflers? if so how much?

Nothing noticeable if any at all. If you've got a catilytic convertor, that's stopping things up too. If you gutted that, you would need a tune to see any gains. A new fuel map is only neede for a full system.
No mufflers is LOUD!

so until i could afford a nice exhaust system, like brocks or whatever, i could just take off the mufflers for now and it wouldnt hurt my motor any? i dont want to do anythign that will damage it in the long run but id like to make it sound good.

Yeah, it won't hurt anything...maybe ur ears:laugh:

Let's see, from puttin' around on the forums I've heard:

You'll lose backpressure, which means alot of low end power and torque.
You'll get pulled over cause of the noticeably loud noise.
The only advantage is the weight reduction.
PC3 tune needed only if it's a full system, but wouldn't hurt.
The only time you'll burn up the valves is running no header.

That's pretty fair, and yes, u can lose some power without a certain amount of backpressure.
