Chain slipping?

i just installed new spark plugs and installed a new barnett clutch ,springs and plates. I know it say wait until 50 to 100 miles before beating it...but is that true? After I installed the clutch I went to the hig way and romped on it. I noticed around 7 to 8000 thousand rpm it jerks a few times but still takes off. Am I beating the clutch too early? Or is the chain slipping?..the chain and sprockets look fine.

By the way I hate Barnett clutches...OEM are the best IMO...

did you soak the plates in oil overnight?

+2 that barnetts suck ......a zuk OEM kit is the only way to go for street use.

if you stuck them in dry....and then went out on it hard.....you might have glazed the bands.

did you change metals and fibers? or just fibers?
if just fibers, did you beadblast them or anything first?

i soaked the plates.for a half an hour to a hour and it wasnt just second gear. I replaced the metals, fibers and springs.

I have replaced Barnetts dry (4hrs soak) and wet (24hr soak) in 84 Gpz750, 91 Fzr1000 and the 03 Busa just see the difference in pulls and believe it or not the longer you soak the plates (friction) the less likely you will have slippage..Otherwise I would stick with OEM clutch....IMHO
