Chain question

Me and the lil Lady are trying to pull off a move to Florida soon. I've been wondering if there's going to be a lot of sand getting into my chain down there, even if I stay off the beaches.??
I've noticed there's sand on some of the street corners and along the edges of sidestreets.
Am I going to be looking for a driveshaft bike or is my regular chain maintenance program going to suffice down there.?? I usually spray the chain with dry lube every 500 miles or so and clean it with kerosene every 2K miles. I've noticed even the dry lube is not really "dry" and has some stickiness to it, so I suspect it will be attracting sand.??

Not from Florida, but live in a sandy area. You should be fine with regular maintenance. An O-Ring chain should keep the nasty out of the working areas.
