I got my HJC AC-12 Carbon Fiber Helmet today. I went out for about an hour long ride (felt awesome to get out on the bike after my spill this past week). It was sunny out about 75deg and when I came home my helmet looked like this:

Has anyone had issues like this with anything carbon fiber? Any other AC-12 Carbon Fiber owners out there?

I just want to know if I should start calling people to get this replaced or if i should just accept this as a flaw of carbon fiber.

Helmet is great otherwise, very light and awesome aero's.

I've had my AC-12 Carbon for almost 2 years now and it is fine. I've seen cheap carbon hoods do that. Mite just be the clear on it.

Is it the yellowing? I am not sure what we're looking for.

If it's the yellowing, the epoxy will do that when exposed to UV. The clear is supposed to stop that, for a time. I have the same helmet, rode it all last season, and did not have the yellowing. I would definitely have it replaced.
