Carbon Fiber Helmet

I was looking through HelmetHarbor.com today and ran across a carbon fiber helmet coming out the end of January. Looks nice but how well will it protect? There asking $359.99

It should be okay ... it has both the proper DOT and Snell ratings ... go for it!!

, and not a true Carbon Fiber helmet. Might be wrong, but I think

 I remember reading about it. Good Helmet though, and if it is CF, it's got to be real light. Let us know, I want one if it is CF at that price, my CF Chain Guard and Fender cost more than that !

HJC makes great helmets, it'll be just as safe as any other helmet.  And it is CF, there are different types of CF.

I have the Vemar CF and its great.  SUPER light, I mean really LIGHT!!!
A little noisy though, wouldn't be fun if you're riding all day on the freeway.

That's a good price, I bet they have it priced a little low to jump start sales.  If they sell well, I bet the price will go up!!

There are only 2 True carbon fiber helmets out at this time. $800-41700 If the HJC is real carbon fiber it will be well worth it. Check out the specs,

It say's AC-12 Full Carbon, Looks sweet to me, I'd be interested. Are they showing these at the IMS? Clevelands show is at the end of January, would be sweet to check it out.

Its edging out the shoei X-11 on weight, it weighs 3.13lbs and the X-11 weighs 3.2lbs. If it is quiet and under $500 it could be a very good deal.

I have 2 CF helmets,1 Vemar and 1 Axo RR6.Like em both, but the Axo fits better.
