Busa production numbers since 1999?

Hayabusas around the world!!!! Seems Suzuki has sold many of these babies worldwide since their inception. Anybody know how many of each year were made? Just curious as here in Orlando I see them all over the place. Hard to have a limited anything to drive around here unless it's a custom chopper and there are many of those around as you can imagine. ???

Dont even have a clue and I doubt Suzuki will release the numbers of units manufactured...they have cut production by 20% this year though.

I would guess over 100,000. I cant remember if I heard/read that they sold 10,000+ in 2006 in the U.S.
