not really , in fact we use a hydraulic assy to control the throw on our fuel car clutches..

We use it with a lockup clutch of course.. Our control is via fixed orifice however ..

I thought the bikes guys just used lock up clutches?

I am useing a MPS auto shift, havent gotten back to the strip yet. Also installed a innovate data logger, i was running very lean. My last 60 was a easy 1.70 slipping the clutch leaving at 8500 rpm. Shut it off before the rev limiter in first. ( couldnt get it to shift out of low gear) auto shift was wired wrong. still ran a 7.82 at 65 mph in the 1/8.

I would put a brock clutch cushion in it(cheap route) or you can just buy a slider clutch Expensive but consistant)but will need to be pulled back..No clutch m/c or lever needed just stage, roll rpm up and nail throttle..

that would be a lot simpler... we just use the hydraulic to adjust the "hit" on the launch.. (and we use up a clutch pack every run)

How does the "clutch cushion" work?

can you give me some info on the clutch cushion havent heard of this? I bought this engine, was told it had the usual clutch mods. done. It may have the basket , clutches and HD springs not sure since i have had no problems so far and havent opened it up.I did notice there was no bucking etc. on launch that i can detect.

just my 2 cents, if you are racing.... save and spend the money and get a slider... one of the top 3 best things you canget for your race bike.... or funny car... that just my opinion.

if you put in a slider then you can hit your 2-step... hold it to the floor and go with the release of the button... ok now i said it all thats my 3 cents worth
