I'm not sure what you need to improve it, but I dont think the power to weight numbers add up to mid 8 second times. The stock busa doesnt weigh that much and only runs high nines. Cool project though, keep at it!

Right gearing and more traction. That might really be possible. Dunno?

I am running 21 inches of rubber so traction doesnt seem to be a problem also i dont have a big problem with wheelstands, i have a tripod wheely bar set to limit travel to about 4 inches..I am useing a MPS auto shift with pingle air shifter.

We need to see a video of it making a pass when you get it done.

I do think the clutch is going to be a week link. Running stock motor, I don't think a lockup is neccesary. I would however increase the spring tension and install a billet sprocket cover or a slave support.

Where is the engine sitting in the chassis?

with that kind of weight and that much rubber i would think a heavy duty output shaft would be a good investment, samething with the lock-up and slave support. i dont think your going 8s with stock motor i would be interested intalking to you about your car, you can drop me an email justin@twowheelwerkz.com

I ran the car launching at 8000 and slipping the clutch 1.70 60 foot time. Car would not shift had MPS wired wrong helps to read the directions. Left in low gear clicked it offat 200 feet still ran a 7.92 at 65 mph, 1/8th mile. Still trying to learn how to do a burnout. Started with 10 pounds of air in slicks went into tire shake wich rattled my eye balls. 4.5 pounds looks about right.Did a John Force burnout went right past the tree forgot about no reverse. GBC racing is working on my reverser.
