I'm packed (with 2 cases of beer) and since I'll be there early, I'll try to find a decent grill around there that we can use.

Can't wait- three more days and I'm on the road. Headin' up to Wally World now to hunt up a couple pairs of lights for the trailers. Other than that, I am ready to go.

OK, here's the tentative schedule I cooked up. No one hasta follow it but I'll have maps, schedules and directions printed for anyone that wants to do this. The friday ride up to Cherokee and the Smoky Mnts. National Park should be just as good as any in the area. The Sat. ride encompasses all aspects of the Dragon/Skyway along with lunch

Let me know if anyone sees anything that they want changed. Otherwise I'll be making copies wed. afternoon.

Friday
9:00am Ride the dragon
11:00am Ride to Cherokee for lunch
12:00pm Arrive at Cherokee Casino/Reservation
1:00pm Scenic ride to Gatlinburg via SMNP/CIR
4:00pm Depart Cherokee, scenic drive back to CROT
6:00pm Ride the dragon/head back for dinner
7:30pm Start cookout at the Phillips Motel (everyone is welcome)



Saturday
8:00am Ride the dragon - early is good on sat/sun
10:30am Depart CROT heading to the Skyway
11:00am Depart Overlook on the Skyway.
12:15pm Arrive Telico Plains gas station (gas/drinks/bathroom)
12:30pm Depart Telico Plains gas station, head to Hooters
1:15/30pm Arrive Hooters (Alcoa, TN)
3:30pm Depart Hooters, head back towards CROT via 129
4:00pm Arrive @ the overlook, ride the gap
7:30pm Start the cookout at the Phillips Motel (til we are done)


Sunday (kinda on your own today for sure, no planned rides)
9:00am Ride the dragon
10:00am Meet at CROT
10:30am Ride where the group decides til

ps Pigeon Forge is only adds like ~10miles from Gatlinburg so I think I read someone wanted to head over there for some eats.... Friday would be a great day to do that and one heck of a ride to get there

I,ll be there on Sat, but if you guys come to gatlinburg fri to eat, please let me know when and where, and I,ll meet you all there.

I was thinkin we'd just ride over there from Cherokee... maybe eat in Cherokee or over in the Gatlinburg/PF area, then ride back over to Cherokee and then back to CROT. The road across from Cherokee to Gatlinburg is pretty sweet up through the mnts and then through the park. Figured this would make a nice friday ride

I'm pretty sure we'll make it over there at some point 1-4pm so if you wanna come meet up just let me know how to reach ya and we'll call you on the way
