Buell Begs

Need some help on this... I need to go down further on the gear shift. I am down as far as I can go with the shift arm w/o touching the exhaust. Do they make a shorter shift rod?

What type of exhaust are you running right now?

I looked under the exhaust on the factory converter location,

You'll see where it bolts to the lower frame, I used three stainless washers as spacers and it lowers the exhaust tips just enough to get more adjustment for my shifter...

It does slightly touch when I actually shift but not when in gear and the shifter is at rest...

What about the kickstand getting in the way

Well, it's kind of in the way but not really,

I use the kickstand as a guide, My foot hits it and I just rub up against it for now...

I started a topic about finding a nice black kickstand that maybe wasn't to arched that I could replace the factory one with...

Jury is still out on what I am going to do...???

You could always pretty it up. Some guys actually thread the stub on the shifter and make a part to screw on instead of slippnig on like I did.

Hey Dude.. i assume your trying to adjust the shifter since you fit the Buell Pegs?

If so, they can be a bugger to get seup - the instruction say to twist the lever around on the peg, but i didnt need to do that. If you play around - it will fit without need for any hardware mods... you just gotta play
