Bit of a thread revival so I can respond (with some evidence) that adding a full pipe to the Gen 3 Hayabusa without a tune is completely safe. So, I've been running a few Woolich autotune sessions and have been analysing the data. In my case, I'm running a full Akro, with O2 and PAIR disabled, and I have the Zeitronix wideband installed. The AFR in the logs is consistently showing she's running too rich! So much so that the Woolich software is recommending leaning out most of the cells by as much as 10%! This is consistent with Chris Moore's repeated claims that the Gen 3 runs rich from the factory. So far I've only been below 6k so I'm not yet sure how it's running in the latter half of the band - that'll be tomorrow's task. Anyway, if you're running a (good quality) pipe and don't get a tune, pay no attention to the Doom Sayers who claim you'll be running dangerously lean. Utter bollocks!
