Bike setup for mile and 1/2 mile racing

I've been following this guy who tunes some fast LDR (Limited Drag Radial) and no prep cars that run sub 4 sec in the 1/8th mile. His car Beer Money is not fancy at all but does have some serious electronics. He went to PRI with Davis Technologies so don't be fooled by his casual demeanor.

The 1/2 and 1 mile events seem to be like no prep racing because well, there is no prep, but at the top end there is likely to be small bits of dirt and just not a clean surface. This is where I hope the Fueltech will come into play when I'm turbo.

Not everything with cars is an exact match obviously but I like the video and want to share with you guys. It's cold and snowed last night by me so I'm just dreaming of summer.

I'd get an arm with a long adjustment slot (7inch or so) generally in lsr it's going to be under 3 over depending on rider weight n set up.Heres one I'm building to run maxx ecu and flex fuel and should make about 700 hp on pump e85 and not have garbage spool time.Im using a xonaror turbo ,custom header etc combined with an rcc plenum. Its also running a heat exchanger larger than the radiator to keep intake temps in check.

I should state that this is intended to be able to be ridden daily and not A race specific bike.It also uses an in tank 550lph brushless fuel pump,CWA100-2 brushless intercooler pump,500 water stator and I will also be upgrading the reg rec.IT not all that today as I'm still installing and shuffling things around.

I watched the Gas Monkey car owner call out video…. I hope the other guy takes that race and wins. I don’t like the Gas Monkey dude, never have. I don’t like this guy calling all the shots either.
Ok back to helping Tony you guys, I have zero to offer and only here to learn.
It’s late and I’m probably just cranky.
Good night all.

Hi. Very very nice. What is the weight of the turbo? I am having DME make my header out of Inconal. If you like you can call me at 508-496-3312.

TonyM - have you come across Jim Cole in your efforts to build a land speed Busa? He owns Colorado Mechanical Welding and runs a beautiful blue race only turbo Busa. He ran the Colorado Mile events before they were cancelled. He has also run some ECTA events since then - including the Spaceport Invitational in New Mexico. He should be an excellent source of real-world info.

I haven’t but I appreciate the comment and will keep an eye out for him.
