Mine's been in winter storage for more than a month...

Fuel tank topped off, chain cleaned and re-coated, air filter cleaned, oil and filter changed, a good wax job, battery on tender, cover put on and put up on paddock stands in the corner of my heated garage.

Helmet liner washed, jacket, pants, gloves, boots all cleaned.....

Now awaiting for April to take it all out again.....

Hey I have wasted more on this thing in the past

Growing up in Michigan, the scooters all went to the bike-barn for a nap over the winter. My buddy swore that I should put sheet-metal screws into each knobby on my dirt bike and I could ride year 'round. Never tried it.

We had a vintage snowmobile (8 horsepower of fury). A Honda "Big Red" ATV (amazing I am alive). And my '80 YZ125. One quiet January, I did take the YZ out in the snow (sans sheet metal screws). It ended poorly.

But we rallied by racing our 20" Huffy BMX bikes into the large snow bank dad had plowed. The trick was to time the leap upward from the pedals at exactly the point of impact, thus burying said department-store bike into the snow bank and flying up and over, landing on your back in the snow on the opposite side. What could possibily go wrong..?

Did I mention the time I slid my go-kart sideways on the gravel (slip), onto the dry concrete driveway (grip) which had the effect of putting the beast up on two wheels, which (in 'Busa man fashion) I drove on for a bit, then dropped her down on all fours?

At 58 years, I still have the "muscle memory" to do a 180* "bunny hop" on my BMX bike (yes, a Huffy). Much to the amusement of the neighhood kiddos.

So glad I'm mature now...
