I was reading a thread that talked about problems with starting when the bike gets hot ,someone metioned a battery with more cranking amps would help, what is the best aftermarket battery to buy that combat the heat problem, as many have had this happen and I am one. any suggestions????

prolly never have an issue unless you run high comp.

take care of the correctly rated one with a BT Jr....or the like and it will last quite some time.
My OEM went out in just over a year...but the Yuasa replacement is just over two years old now.
this one applies to 99~07 I believe.

Mine cranks slow when ridden for awhile, but it's the stock battery from '03. I don't do anything to it except charge it in the spring. Been lucky!!

I still have the stocker that came in my bike in '05. And that's here in Phoenix summers too. I use a Battery Tender Junior when the bike sits for more than a couple days unridden.
