bad seal?

I took off my k&n today to inspect it and inside the inlet where the impeller was a coating of oil ,also inside the filter, should there be oil there? or do I have a seal leaking? It wasnt from the filter either. Its not in the boost tube at least not yet.thanx, busacharged.

Its a hahn stage one, Its my first turbo so I wasnt sure about oil being in there, but with the heat generated down there it might be a good thing. I just wish Hahn would hurry up and make some upgrades for this thing. BTW is nlr's shop in alabama and do they dyno tune turbo bikes I need to have mine custom mapped, especially if I buy Doc's dump pipe. nobody I know of around here,in TN but bama would be close. thanx, busacharged.

It is common for the turbo to leak into/out of the filter when the oil is slightly over full and/or the bike is on a rear stand.

Remember that the turbo is gravity drain, the angle of the ground that you are parked on with the side stand can and will also be a factor.
